If you do not have any customized MapWindow tools that you want to save, you should uninstall Shape2Earth and MapWindow. Then delete the MapWindow folder (usually C:\Program Files\MapWindow). Then reinstall MapWindow and Shape2Earth using the instructions here:<BR/><BR/>http://shape2earth.com/shp2e.aspxSabin21https://www.blogger.com/profile/17345046976446849046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6819265220680214838.post-91604942564271807422008-02-13T09:48:00.000-08:002008-02-13T09:48:00.000-08:00I'm trying to use Shape2Earth but it keeps saying ...I'm trying to use Shape2Earth but it keeps saying "error parsing data" everytime I attempt to convert shapefiles to KML.Pedro Mourahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17495353250797667501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6819265220680214838.post-44545198138090532262007-11-23T07:58:00.000-08:002007-11-23T07:58:00.000-08:00I have the same question as Christopher Legg on 11...I have the same question as Christopher Legg on 11/9/07. I have a theme containing 300 polygons that have an attribute with nine possibilities. The appropriate legend should have only 9 entries, not 300. I tried to work around this by using the "dissolve features based on an attribute" function in the Geoprocessing wizard in ArcView. The result looked fine in MapWindow GIS and created the desired legend in Google Earth, but some of the polygons did not display properly in Google Earth. I would really like to find a solution to this problem.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07595021118415735172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6819265220680214838.post-11129877823639589902007-11-09T01:09:00.000-08:002007-11-09T01:09:00.000-08:00I want to convert a shapefile of more than 200 dis...I want to convert a shapefile of more than 200 districts in East Africa into Google Earth format. The colour coding of polygons is based on a numerical attribute. Conversion is successful, with label points, names of districts and attributes displayed when requested. Colour coding is correct but there is no legend. The "legend" in the Google Earth legend window has one object for each of >200 polygons, but no simple legend for colour classification. I wish to colour the polygons according to a classification of a numerical attribute. I have successfully converted polygons, with correct district labels, attribute table and colour scheme, but I cannot generate a legend for the classifcation. In the Google Earth legend windows, I have an entry for each of more than 200 polygons, in the appropriate colours, but no legend relating colours to values of the numerical attribute.
